Face-off between Indian and Chinese forces in Tawang Sector of LAC, China suffered more
2 years after the bloody clash in Ladakh's Galwan valley between Indian and Chinese troops, both sides clashed again, this time in Arunachal Pradesh.
Indian and Chinese PLA troops clashed in Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh on December 9. This time, there have been no reports of deaths on either side.
As per sources, Indian troops in area of face-off in Tawang gave befitting response to Chinese troops.Number of Chinese soldiers injured is more than that of Indian soldiers.Chinese had come heavily prepared with around 300 soldiers but didn't expect Indian side also to be well prepared.
Reports indicate minor injuries on both sides. Indian troops contested China in firm and resolute manner. Disengagement done. Flag meeting also help between India and China.
On the incident army statement says, In certain areas along the LAC in Tawang sector in Arunachal Pradesh there are areas of differing perception, wherein both sides petrol the area upto their claim lines. This has been the trend since 2006.
On 9th December 2022 PLA troops contacted the LAC in Tawang sector which was contested by own troops in a firm and resolute manner. This face-off led to minor injuries to few personnel from both sides.
Both sides immediately disengaged from the area. As a follow up of the incident, own commander in the area held a Flag Meeting with his counterpart to discuss the issue in accordance with structured mechanism to restore peace and tranquillity.
